Had some pretty reasonable 2 foot conditions off the rocks with contestable waves throughout the day. Being a part of Merewether board club, I surfed for one of the 2 extremely competitive teams we had entered in the event. Our team consisted of myself, Jax Brent, Mick Spencer, Rhys Smith and Trav Lynch whilst our other team, the eventual winners of the contest, was jam packed with Craig Ando, Ryany Callinan, Jesse Adam, Mitchy Ross and Paul Parkes. Throughout the day both teams supported each other and had a ball, and after all was said and done we ended up having a hell night with our crew and the other clubs from the coast. Both Merewether teams were stoked with our performance, along with our 1st and 3rd place results, ensuring us in the Australian final to be held at Dbah later in the year.,Last weekend, Jim Beam held the mid-north coast leg of their surf tag series at Merewether Beach.
